About Slade Green Community Forum -
The idea of a community forum grew out of a meeting between local
clergy and local council officers in October 1998.
With the assistance of council officers a steering
committee drafted a constitution, which was adopted by a
public meeting held in December 1999. Our Area of Benefit was designated as North End Ward
in Bexley London Borough - see below.
The Forum constitution was amended in March 2003 to a constition approved by the
Charities Commission, which allowed our current Charitable status.
At the same time Rules for the governance of meetings were adopted,
and the other key Forum documents include an Equal Opportunities Policy,
a Financial Policy and a Complaints Procedure. Links are below for the various documents.
