The London LOOP (LOOP stands for London Outer Orbital Path) runs around London for 240 kilometres from Erith to Purfleet, with Section 1 passing through Crayford Marshes. It can be joined from Slade Green either near Erith Yacht Club or from Slade Green station by heading down to the footpath at the end of Moat Lane.

The Green Chain Walk is great both for experienced walkers walking its length or for strolling along its local parts. It starts nearby in Erith, heading towards Thamesmead, the Thames Barrier, Chislehurst or Crystal Palace depending on what route options you take.

But if you're really looking for a walking challenge, how about Crayford Marshes to the start of the River Thames near Kemble in the Cotswolds following the Thames Path National Trail - all 310.5 kilometres of it!
