Prayers & Praying

Prayer is central to the life of the Church and to individual Christians. Would you like us to pray for someone? Would you like to pray but you're not sure how? Have a look at our Prayers & Praying Pages

Planning a Wedding or Christening?

Please come to our Sunday service, which starts at 10.30am, and stay for refreshments afterwards.
Our Vicar will be happy to have an initial talk to you about the possibility of being baptised/christened, confirmed or married in St. Augustine's Church if you live in the parish and/or attend our church each week.
Details of our wedding fee packages are available after the Sunday Service or during our parish office (see below)

Baptisms may take place during Sunday morning service or on Sunday afternoons, by agreement.
Baptism services conducted by the vicar in church are free; we only ask for a donation towards the costs of heating, lighting and maintenance of the church and the expenses of the parish and clergy.

The Parish Office is open most Tuesday evenings in the church between 7 and 8 pm, during choir practice. This is the best time for anything to do with administration, including bookings for Baptisms and Weddings.
Enquiries about hiring the Church Hall may also be made during the Parish Office time.

We welcome everyone to St Augustines. We are also pleased to be in fellowship with neighbouring churches.
