Prayers & Praying

Prayer is central to the life of the Church and to individual Christians. Would you like us to pray for someone? Would you like to pray but you're not sure how? Have a look at our Prayers & Praying Pages

Our Deanery arrange occasional prayer mornings (none upcoming at the moment though) and workshops looking at different aspects of prayer - two of those are up-coming - Praying With Music Saturday 10th September, 11 – 12.30 at St John The Baptist, Erith and God In My Day – Praying The Examen Saturday 15th October, 11 – 12.30 at St John The Evangelist, Welling. Both will be led by our Diocesan Spirituality Co-Ordinator Rev’d Canon Susanne Carlsson

Planning a Wedding or Christening?

Please come to our Sunday service, which starts at 10.30am, and stay for refreshments afterwards.
We will be happy to have an initial talk to you about the possibility of being baptised/christened, confirmed or married in St. Augustine's Church if you live in the parish and/or attend our church fairly regularly. Currently arrangements for these are then the responsibility of our Archdeacon The Venerable Paul Wright - you can contact his PA Fiona on

Note that arrangements for funerals are currently the responsibility of our Area Dean The Reverend Julie Conalty -  contact

For the moment we are ceasing running our Tuesday Parish Office (last one 23rd August 2016 11 - noon).

Not sure if you're in our parish? Our Parish Boundary is shown on a map on our page on the Erith Deanery website

We welcome everyone to St Augustines. We are also pleased to be in fellowship with neighbouring churches.
